We regrettably announce that we will be postponing our school opening day a week later as an extra precaution against the current Novel Coronavirus outbreak.
Please refer to the postponing announcement in regards to this decision. As well as our initial notice of caution “The Letter to Parents” for information on the Coronavirus outbreak.

Welcome Back to School!

 

Dear Parents

Welcome Back!
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. Chung Wah Chinese School Leeming 2018 Term 1 has commenced on Saturday 3 February 2018.

I am delighted that you are part of our amazing learning community. I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication in your children Chinese education, and our school look forward to working with you and your children.

Our devoted staff is already planning and preparing for your child(ren). Our enthusiastic administration team is registering new families, ordering needed materials and updating student files. And, our much-appreciated School Management Committee (SMC) is gearing up to welcome families, provide volunteer opportunities, and offer other exciting cultural events and programs. If you are interested in joining our SMC, please send your email to [email protected]. We are indeed a joyous and caring community with the common goals of nurturing responsible, caring students and promoting high-level Chinese Language education.

Facilities Update
There are numerous maintenance and construction projects in progress at Leeming Senior High School (LSHS).

  • Earthworks currently in progress in between the Aulberry Parade Car Park and Administration Block. Approximately 20 to 25 car park bays have been barricaded as a construction site. The parking capacity will reduce for up to 12 months. Major building works will commence and a builder compound will shortly be erected. Refer to photos below.

 

  • Car Park 2 at Grady Close, will be permanently closed. LSHS has reserved Car Park 2 for their staff parking on weekends or other community groups parking which LSHS may lease to.
  • The Car Park next to the Trade Training Centre and workshop are reserved for Chung Wah Chinese School Leeming’s teachers and staffs parking only at all times. This will enable all teachers and staff arrived on time.

There are also major earthworks and new buildings construction which made this car park unsafe to use.

In the event of overflow car parking, LSHS has confirmed to us that the car park at Leeming Recreation Centre is available for parents parking. There is a walking path connecting the car park to CWCS Leeming. Refer to the map below:

Student’s safety

Students are reminded to stay away from these construction sites. Thank you for reminding your children to refrain themselves from entering these construction sites.

Finally, we apologise for any inconvenience caused due to these unforeseeable circumstances which are beyond our school control.

2018 Enrolment Information

Mid-Autumn Festival Highlights

 


• On Saturday, 16 September 2017, this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated among by a 800 strong crowd consisting of Chung Wah Chinese School parents and guests. This number also included 200 students, performers and volunteers.
• The Chung Wah Lion Dance Troupe opened the show with impressive acts of strength and courage. A broad range of talents and performances from the Chung Wah Schools included solo to group singing, choirs, traditional dancing, martial arts, guzheng and Chinese yoyo diabolo kept the
audience interested till the very end.
• Lanterns and artwork by Chung Wah students set the mood for a fabulous festival evening.
Mooncakes, lanterns, Chinese food, drinks, desserts, ornaments, art and craft stalls as well as the kids’ activity amusement corner filled the atmosphere of a Chinatown environment.
• This was an interactive and informative concert enjoyed by all and explored by enthusiastic
students who were presented with decorative lanterns to take home.
• The grand prize lucky draw was a 65” UHD smart TV won by a Chung Wah Chinese School Leeming
parent.

2018 Enrolment

 

• Enrolment for 2018 commences on 11 November 2017 at the Administration office from 9: 20 am.
• Enrolment form will be given to all students from their class teachers. Kindly check your child’s school bag.
• Our school has implemented a new payment reference in the 2018 re-enrolment form. Kindly use this payment reference when making EFT payment to help us identify your payment.
• Early bird fees commence on 11 November 2017 and finish on 25 November 2017.
