Dragon Boat Festival And Race
As part of cultural learning our school will have an assembly on Sat, 11th June to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. Similar to previous years, we will have a dragon boat display as well as the demonstration of rice dumpling wrapping. The students will have the chance to try to wrap their own rice dumpling. Get your cameras ready for this fun event!
In addition, Chung Wah Association is sponsoring a dragon boat race on Sunday 12th June, so this is great opportunity for parents and students to experience all the excitement of an actual race, together with lion dance, Chinese dance, BBQ lunch, Chinese dumplings, and drinks. Please see the flyer for details and RSVP to Chung Wah Association (9328 8657) by Wed 1st June if you are attending.

Canteen Update and AFL Footy Class free tickets
Dear Parents and Students
We have two announcements today.
Firstly, our School Canteen would like to express our sincere apologies for today shortage of foods supplies.
Since today is our first day of sales, we are unable to estimate the actual demand. It is also due to the nature of perishable foods, we are not able to order in bulk quantity.
Once again, we thank all parents and students who have supported our School Canteen today. We will increase the foods supplies next Saturday to provide a better service for everyone.
Please continue to support our School Canteen.
Secondly, the West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) has kindly agreed to give every kid that registers for this term’s AFL Footy Class 2 tickets (1 for them and 1 for a parent) to the AFL multicultural round game between the West Coast Eagles v North Melbourne in round 16. All kids will also receive WAFL passes so they want to go back to East Fremantle to watch another game of the WAFL. The deadline has been moved to Sat 14th May 2016 so please register online before then! The classes will go ahead if we have enough interest and number of participants.
More info: The Footy Class conducted by the WAFC for this year 2016 is scheduled in term 2 from 14th May to 18th June 2016, Sat 1130am-1230pm. Boys and girls from ages 4-17 years of age are welcome to join for only $20 for 6 whole weeks. Please refer to this flyer for further information.
