Morning Tea on Saturday, 13th August

The School Management Committee will hold a Morning Tea on Saturday, 13th August 2016.
All parents are invited to attend the morning tea. The usual food sold in the Canteen will be made available for free. Hot Tea and Coffee will also be provided to warm you up.

It is an informal gathering where we would like to increase our engagement with the parents. We will present a variety of topics ranging from the recently introduced the safety measure of lock-out during the school hours, teachers’ performances,  the upcoming celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival, etc. We would like to get some direct feedbacks from you. We will answer any questions you might have.

The morning tea will be held in the canteen area after you have dropped off and brought your kids to their classes. It would be great if we all can gather at around 9:15 so that we can conclude the gathering at 10:00 just before the recess. We hope to see all of you there.

The Video will be used for promotional purposes such as publishing on our website, showing casing our school during fairs and exhibitions as well as in the upcoming Mid-autumn festival in Balcatta Cultural Centre.

The individual(s) will be given the freedom to use his/her/their own creativity and imagination in producing the clip(s). Further, the individual(s) will be working on their own pace in creating the clips. However, it would be ideal if the videos can be finalized a week before the Mid-autumn festival on 17th September 2016.

Should you and some you know is able to help the school please contact us on or 0403 735 842.

Royal Life Saving Society WA

The Royal Life Saving Society WA have approached our school with the intention to promote the Water safety awareness amongst the Students and Parents within our Chinese School.

Royal Life Saving WA work closely with the Office of Multicultural Interests to assist key community groups within WA to have access to water safety education and swimming lessons. The Chung Wah Association and its Chinese School are one of the key community groups they focus on working with.

Royal Life Saving Society WA can offer the school a variety of classes and programs which are free of charge or a very minimal fee. In a nutshell they can offer:
•      Multicultural Women’s Only Swim and Survive Programs
•      Multicultural Youth Swim and Survive Programs
•      Heartbeat Club – Introduce basic first aid, resuscitation and water safety skills to mothers, fathers and carers in a practical three hour course (parent’s course).
•      Water Smart Award (children of all ages, year 1 – 12)

Please refer attached flyer for further information.

The School Management Committee has agreed for Royal Life Saving Society WA to conduct the Heartbeat Club program tentatively on the 27th August 2016. A confirmation and details will be sent out closer to the date.

It would be great if a group of parents can participate in the Heartbeat Club whilst the children are in class (small children are welcome to come in with mum or dad during the class).

The aim of the Heart Beat Club is to develop the lifesaving skill of resuscitation and first aid. The Heart Beat Club is a community education initiative of Royal Life Saving that aims to increase your skills and confidence in CPR and first aid as well as provide a water smart background.

The Heart Beat Club can teach you the lifesaving skills of CPR. The training session covers first aid for common child injuries including burns and scolds, choking, drowning and provides information on how to perform child resuscitation or CPR.

If sufficient numbers of interest are available further programs and classes can be arranged.

We encourage you to attend the Heartbeat Club class while you are waiting for your children. Please join in drove!
